Teen Drowns in Charles River
State Police confirmed that a teenage boy drowned Friday night after jumping into the Charles River near Harvard University in Cambridge.

Cambridge firefighters tell FOX25 they pulled a person from the Charles River Friday around 9:15 p.m.
State police said they received reports that the 17-year-old surfaced from under the water with his arms flailing, then went back under the water and didn’t resurface.
Investigators believe the drowning was accidental.
The person reportedly fell from the Weeks Bridge around 8:45 p.m., according to the Cambridge Fire Department.
State Police detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office are investigating the circumstances of the death.

Divers found the 18-year-old’s body after searching for about 25 minutes. He was transported to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston where he was pronounced dead.
