Where to celebrate newest Harry Potter book release

Being one of the first people to get your hands on the newest Harry Potter book used to mean setting up camp outside a bookstore.

Books & Company brings the fun to Prince George with a special late-night event this weekend.

The release of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child playscript at midnight tomorrow is set to be the biggest book launch since the release of the seventh Harry Potter title, The Deathly Hallows, almost a decade ago.

The play has been on stage in London’s West End theatre district since June, and the book (it is a script treatment, not a novel) is the next way the new story satiates the enormous appetite of Potter fans.

The story is about Harry, now all grown up and joined the Ministry of Magic.

Harry and his wife Ginny Weasley wave off their youngest son Albus Severus to their old wizarding school, Hogwarts – but once there, Albus struggles with the weight of his family legacy and goes to extreme and unsafe lengths to right the wrongs of the past. Harry meanwhile can not seem to leave the past where it should be and together, father and son, discovers the uncomfortable truth that “sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places”. A store manager said Hastings has ordered copies of the book, but they are not sure the order will be delivered. Hall even expects to sell an equivalent number of books as “Deathly Hallows”.
