RB Thomas Tyner out of fall camp; could be out for season
Tyner will miss the 2015-16 season after undergoing surgery on his shoulder Friday, Comcast SportsNet reports.

Tyner injured his shoulder in an October. 18 game against Washington. He missed some time, but then returned, evening leading the Ducks in rushing in the Rose Bowl and National Title games. He attempted to avoid an operation but ultimately couldn’t.
Monday was the first day of fall camp for the Oregon football team, and already the Ducks are facing adversity.
Tyner ran for 573 yards and five touchdowns as a rotation player behind breakout star Royce Freeman last season. Nelson will likely be listed on Offense as a Wide Receiver, but he is versatile enough to play the Running Back position, if needed.
The injury will also put a focus on the competition between redshirt freshman Tony Brooks-James and Kani Benoit, which was expected to to decide Oregon’s third-best running option. But while he’s sidelined, Oregon has the depth of talent at running back to overcome his loss and continue to be a contender in the Pac-12.
Two players who have signed aid agreements with the Ducks, quarterback Vernon Adams and linebacker Jonah Moi, aren’t now on the roster. 2014 Heisman victor Marcus Mariota was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
“Obviously, Byron Marshall is the natural guy that everybody would think about, a 1,000-yard rusher, a 1,000-yard receiver”, Helfrich said.

Tyner was a five-star recruit in the class of 2013. Marshall was a Running Back two seasons ago and last season jumped onto the stage as a Wideout, taking the place of Bralon Addison, who was lost with a knee injury in 2014. He caught 74 passes for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns.
