Kanye West rants about Tidal-Apple ‘beef’

Meanwhile, West has brought music to Tidal exclusively before, and West’s wife Kim Kardashian has generated lots of money through Apple by way of the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood app.

One month ago, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple was in talks to buy Tidal, the beleaguered music streaming service that has debuted some of this year’s biggest albums, including Beyoncé’s Lemonade, ANTI by Rihanna, and, of course, Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo.

The “Famous” rapper appears to be addressing recent reports that the tech giant would buy Jay Z’s streaming music service, Tidal. “I need Tim Cook Jay Z Dez Jimmy Larry me and Drake Scooter on the phone or in a room this week!!!”

“Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop tying[SIC] to act like you Steve”, he tweeted.

Over the past year, Kanye West has become known for his weird Twitter tirades. “Let the kids have the music”, he wrote. Check out West’s string of Tweets below and you tell me if this man is stable?

Tidal has more than 4 million premium subscribers, but has been dogged by executive turnover and unfavorable comparisons to competitors like Spotify and Apple Music, both of which have far more subscribers.
