Donald Trump challenges Hillary Clinton on jobs, taxes and national security
Clinton officially accepted the Democratic nomination for president at the party’s convention in Philadelphia this week, and Trump accepted the Republican nomination at that convention last week in Cleveland. She criticized Trump’s proposals including one to build a wall along the Mexico-US border and another to ban Muslims from entering the country.

Trump interpreted Sen. Bernie Sanders’ sour expression as evidence the Vermont senator regretted supporting Clinton. She acknowledged his inspiring campaign and, more significantly, she brought up the issues he’s championed: “I want you to know, I’ve heard you”. “He wants to divide us from the rest of the world, and each other”, Clinton said.
Tonight, we’ve reached a milestone in our nation’s march toward a more flawless union: the first time that a major party has nominated a woman for President.
Performer Katy Perry hit all the right notes on stage at the convention, but will the biggest speech of Clinton’s career have struck a chord with Americans? “I’m proud that we put a lid on Iran’s nuclear programme without firing a single shot – now we have to enforce it, and keep supporting Israel’s security”, Clinton said. Hillary Clinton will say anything to get elected.
“I think the Bernie Sanders influence has been monumental, ” she said, adding that it had a definitive impact on the party platform coming out of the convention. No matter who you plan to vote for this November, we have all just collectively witnessed something monumentous.
Viewership of Clinton’s speech on Fox News Channel was less than a third of what it was for Trump’s address, Nielsen said. Well, you know, a great Democratic president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, came up with the ideal rebuke to Trump more than 80 years ago, during a much more perilous time: ‘The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.’ Now we are clear-eyed about what our country is up against.
She also drew a sharp contrast with her election rival Donald Trump, calling the Republican supremely unqualified for the White House. “He’s betting that the perils of today’s world will blind us to its unlimited promise”, citing that “love trumps hate”.
Clinton’s speech clarified her character, said Justin Kim of Derby, explaining he got to see the side of her he’s heard about from others.
Following an introduction by her daughter Chelsea, Clinton called the 2016 election “a moment of reckoning”. While Clinton and Kaine are teaming up on the campaign trail after their convention, Trump and Pence are splitting up to cover more ground.

I believe that when we have millions of hardworking immigrants contributing to our economy, it would be self-defeating and inhumane to kick them out. We’re not. Don’t let anyone tell you we don’t have what it takes.
