More People Watched Donald Trump’s Acceptance Speech Than Hillary Clinton’s
Clinton will accept the White House nomination later Thursday on the gathering’s final night, but Trump’s team exhorted Republicans to steer clear. Sounding more like a pundit than the subject of all the vitriol, he pronounced her speech “so average” and “full of clichés”. “I’m starting to agree with you”.

Sanders’ supporters threatened a mass protest during Clinton’s remarks and while there were isolated protests and boos, much of the crowd was enthralled by her speech.
And a third group of voters will also be watching: conservatives and independents who are wary of Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, and might be willing to consider crossing party lines to stop Trump from winning the presidency.
Highlighting occasions when Mr Trump had apparently responded to criticism, she said: ‘If you dare, imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis – a man you can bait with a tweet, a not a man you can trust with nuclear weapons’.
“Our country needs your ideas, energy, and passion”, she told them.
Her advice to them: “Get it from your own mother”.
Declaring that the USA is at a “moment of reckoning”, Clinton had on Friday attacked Trump for his “bigotry and bombast” while pitching herself to be a steady leader, as she scripted history by becoming the first woman presidential nominee.
“Thank you! Thank you for that fantastic welcome”, Clinton said as she walked on stage after being introduced by Chelsea Clinton.
“I would argue that Trump has a little bit bigger job than Hillary, particularly with people of color … She spent the evening talking down to the American people she’s looked down on her whole life”. “Many of her statements were lies and fabrications!” “….anyone who threatens our values, whether fascists or communists or jihadists or homegrown demagogues, will always fail in the end”, Mr. Obama said.
Kaine said, ‘”Donald Trump goes around with that hat on, “Make America Great Again”. Their objective: using four nights of prime-time television to present Americans a sharp contrast to Donald Trump’s apocalyptic view of a decaying nation besieged by enemies, immigrants and violent criminals. Clinton asked. “He spoke for 70-odd minutes and I do mean odd”. She reminded them of what Obama said the night before, “Don’t boo”.
