Donald Trump taunts claims that Russian Federation hacked DNC emails to help him

The Florida congresswoman announced she would step down in response to the leaks after the convention ended on Thursday, but after she was shouted down by supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders during the primary season, prompting Clinton’s campaign to point to a massive hacking of DNC computers in June that cybersecurity firms linked to the Russian government.

Wasserman Schultz was booed Monday morning during a pre-convention breakfast with the Florida delegation, leading many to believe that she could face a similar reaction from the convention’s mainstage. Some continue to insist that they will not support presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, despite the Vermont senator’s endorsement of her.

“Brothers and sisters, this is the real world that we live in”, Sanders told booing supporters at a Monday afternoon rally.

Wasserman Schultz was initially supposed to gavel the convention into session, but that was changed just hours before it started.

“That’s how angry we are”, one woman wearing a “Thank You Bernie” shirt argued pointedly at a Clinton supporter. After all, in his recounting of Clinton’s “extreme carelessness” in handling sensitive communications FBI Director James Comey said it was “likely” that her server was compromised.

But Warren’s speech was also almost interrupted by Bernie Sanders supporters who chanted, “We trusted you”, presumably a reference to her support of Hillary Clinton after leaked emails showed that members of the Democratic Party – though not Warren herself – worked to undermine the Sanders campaign. She also served as campaign manager for Al Gore’s failed run for the White House in 2000. “I think it’s fair to say that no one is more disappointed than I am”, he said. The DNC had said early on that they were an impartial party.

Pence sought to fire up the crowd in this battleground state before Trump’s remarks, drawing particularly loud applause when he said that, “Donald Trump knows that the war on coal must be brought to an end”. “Because I will cuss out the Sanders camp!”

“I have a focus right now on Bernie”, he said.

“It’s a shame people can be so disgusting after everything she has done for us”, she said of the protests.
