A$AP Rocky Criticizes Black Lives Matter Movement
How come black lives only matter when a police officer takes it?

A request by the police union to take down a Black Lives Matter banner on City Hall and replace it with one saying All Lives Matter has been rejected by the city’s mayor.
Judge Robert Milich jailed Attorney Andrea Burton (pictured) for five days after Burton refused to take off a “Black Lives Matter” pin she wore to Milich’s Youngstown, Ohio, courtroom.
As much as one might disagree with what he said, ASAP Rocky has a point on the Black Lives Matter. However, it is clear that fringe elements of that movement, and other protest movements, are provoked to indiscriminate violence against police officers in their name.
Somerville Police Chief David Fallon answered questions and made a brief statement in front of Somerville City Hall Thursday morning.
“The mayor has clearly chosen a side, and it’s not to support law enforcement”, Somerville Police Employees Association President Michael McGrath told ABC News today.
“Unless she violated the law, there does not seem to be a valid reason for her to be JAILED because she was wearing a pin with Black Lives Matter”, it read.
But Curtatone said his support for police officers can not preempt his commitment to addressing systemic racism locally and nationally.
The banner features the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter and has been hanging from City Hall since August 2015.
Curtatone countered, saying Somerville should reinforce the values it has built: a safer community thanks to the highest quality policing by a force dedicated to community policing, de-escalation, proper use of force, anti-bias awareness, and compassionate and informed policing of those facing mental health issues or drug addiction.
“People are right to stand up, people need to stand up”, Dix added before Hopkins interjected and repeatedly spoke over the activist to tell him to “stop talking and listen”. “I’m not sure if they were asked before the letter went out, their feelings on it”, he said.
