“The government should be restrained from allowing exhibition of this movie in Pakistan”, he said. He turned down a request by Saeed to grant a stay, saying it was necessary to hear the respondent first.

While the Pakistani courts are expected to give in to the demands of Hafiz Saeed again, it remains to be seen if the authorities will follow the same procedure when he delivers hate speeches against India in his public gatherings.

“The film speaks the truth the 2008 Mumbai assault and worldwide terrorism ensnaring the JuD. Unsanitary purposeful publicity has been done in the film against Pakistan under subject of the world terrorism”, he charged.

Dogar said the movie is scheduled to be exhibited in India and Pakistan on August 28.

He prays to the court to ban the exhibition of the film in the country for its “anti-Pakistan” content.

He also claimed that accusations of Indian government about the involvement of the JuD or any of its leaders in Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people were already rejected by the courts in Pakistan. The film directed by Kabir Khan is based on post-26/11 attacks and global terrorism. So far the Pakistan edit board has not cleared the film for screening in the nation.

Saif Ali Khan’s previous movie “Agent Vinod” and Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger” were also banned in Pakistan while “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” was allowed to be screened in selected cities.
