After convention high, Clinton hits campaign trail in U.S. Rust Belt

Now, one of the most divisive and distrusted figures in American political life must convince voters that she rather than Republican rival Donald Trump can bring a deeply divided nation together.

“I’ve been saying let’s just beat her on November 8”, Trump said, “but you know what?”

“There is no doubt in my mind that every election in our democracy is important in its own way but I can’t think of an election that is more important, certainly in my lifetime”, Clinton told a rally in Philadelphia on Friday.

The weird counterpoint to the Democrats’ elevation of a candidate who represents continued social progress is, of course, the Republicans’ nomination of Donald Trump.

Trump also said divisions still linger within the Democratic Party even after a convention that saw Clinton and her primary contender Sen.

As she prepared to deliver her speech, people familiar with the matter said the FBI is investigating a cyber attack against another Democratic Party group, which may be related to an earlier hack against the Democratic National Committee.

“We beat her by millions on television. Trump picture frames in India, not Wisconsin”, she said.

Clinton, surrounded by factory equipment and spooled iron, attacked Trump’s business record and argued that the more people listen to the Republican nominee talk, the more they realize “he is not offering real change, he is offering empty promises”.

“Now I know some of you are sitting at home thinking, well that all sounds pretty good”.

Trump interpreted Sen. Bernie Sanders’ sour expression as evidence the Vermont senator regretted supporting Clinton.

The online poll was taken by bipartisan firm RABA Research, which surveyed 956 voters on Friday, the day after Ms Clinton accepted the party’s presidential nomination at the convention in Philadelphia. As Clinton spoke at the DNC, Trump tweeted, “Hillary’s vision is a borderless world where working people have no power, no jobs, no safety”.

“And it’s not so much that I’m on the ticket it’s because of the stark choice that’s posed to America in this election”, she added.

She went on to tease Trump for manufacturing Trump-branded products outside the United States, pointing out that her husband, seated behind her, was wearing a shirt made in Reading, Pennsylvania.

“Our country needs your ideas, energy, and passion”, she told them.

“I’ve had a attractive, I’ve had a flawless campaign”, he said. He wrote, “Great speech”.

Clinton, in the statement, said it was “a time for all Americans to stand with the Khans, and with all the families whose children have died in service to our country”.

Throughout the convention, Democrats tried to convey the stakes of the election not only to Sanders backers but to Republicans concerned about Trump’s bombastic tone and foreign policy positions.
