Nebraska State Patrol were made aware of the video after Kintner went to the law enforcement agency due to concerns that his work computer had been hacked while he was in MA earlier this month.
A Nebraska state lawmaker says he reported the possibility of a sexually explicit video involving another state lawmaker to Gov. Pete Ricketts’ office previous year.
The State Patrol completed its investigation in October 2015 and provided investigative information to the Attorney General’s Office.
“If the allegations are true”, Gov. Ricketts said in a statement, “Senator Kintner needs to resign”.
Kintner told The Associated Press in an email Friday that he had no comment “until there is some finding, if any”, by the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission.
Krist said he never saw the video, but he wanted the executive branch to know because Kintner is married to Lauren Kintner, who leads Ricketts’ policy research office. “Books and books and books have been written about it, and no one understands it”. Heineman accusing him of misusing state resources to apply for a job as University of Nebraska president. The commission oversees ethics complaints against public officials.
Once the commission launched its investigation, Powers was instructed to keep those details confidential.
Ricketts spokesman Taylor Gage said the governor learned of the investigation “shortly after” Kintner contacted the State Patrol.
However, he said, “I still talked about the underlying facts”. Until completion of any potential NADC proceedings, all parties are restricted from commenting further, the patrol said.
Another Senator, Omaha’s Bob Krist, also said told Governor Ricketts about the alleged tape more than a year ago. “Kintner has sexually explicit video of himself on state computer”, Kleeb tweeted.
“They asked me for my Facebook password; I told them no”, the senator said.

Between the senator’s report and his meeting with the patrol, however, Kintner called the fellow senator’s office to discuss the issue.
