Drawing loud cheers throughout, Sanders offered a detailed comparison of Clinton and Republican Donald Trump on an array of policy issues, portraying the election as a simple choice.

In a May 13 email Wasserman Schultz criticizes Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver, writing, “He is an A _ _”, tagging the message with her initials, “DWS”.

“On behalf of everyone at the DNC, we want to offer a deep and honest apology to Senator Sanders, his supporters, and the entire Democratic Party for the inexcusable remarks made over email”, incoming interim DNC chair Donna Brazile said in a statement.

On Sunday, Wasserman Schultz stated she’ll resign her position as party chair at the end of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

It’s possible a Hillary Clinton “rigged” election has been exposed.

“Her resignation opens up the possibility for new leadership at the top of the party that will stand with working people”, Sanders said.

Despite the disruption, she defiantly insisted that she would remain involved in the presidential campaign. He says Trump has more support than many Democrats realize, especially in his home of Long Island.

“Trump’s entire campaign is one more late-night Trump infomercial”, she said.

The Democratic National Convention gets underway in Philadelphia on Monday with much bigger demonstrations than the Republican convention and much higher temperatures, as the region copes with an oppressive heat wave.

In order to be technically placed for nomination, a candidate had to personally give his or her written approval to the convention secretary along with 300 signatures by 6 p.m. Monday.

Yet many die-hard backers of Sanders they weren’t ready to coalesce around Clinton’s presidential bid despite his pleas. “We united behind Clinton and (Tim) Kaine”.

Several Florida delegates tell WOKV that their goal for the week is to highlight the commonalities between Sanders and Clinton supporters.

Silverman was one of a number of prominent entertainers who backed Sanders in the Democratic primary against Hillary Clinton.

Thirteen of the state’s 18 delegates are backing Sanders.
