Fire crews rescued Donald Trump from Colorado Springs elevator

He made the freakish remarks in response to an advertisement Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign that attacked him for mocking a reporter with a disability. She embraced the historic nature of her candidacy, telling the crowd: “Nobody who looked like me was thought to be possible to run for president”. “But you know what, I’m starting to agree with you”.

“But it doesn’t bother me at all”, he said.

Just over 100 days before the election, Americans are being asked to choose between two sharply polarized visions – and between two monumentally unpopular candidates.

“I think we’re just here to make a statement”.

Later on Friday, Trump was in the midst of a double-baby photo op at a rally in Denver when one of the babies burst into tears, creating what will likely be a signature addition to the annals of Trump portraiture.

“She doesn’t know how to win, she’s not a victor”, he said in an excerpt of the interview set to air Sunday.

Trump wrapped up a five-day, seven-state campaign swing in Colorado, where for a fifth straight day his supporters chanted “lock her up” whenever he brought up Clinton’s name.

Trump also reiterated his criticism of Khan’s wife, Ghazala, who stood silently on stage, wearing a headscarf. And supporters attending Trump’s rallies have for months sported shirts and buttons calling on Clinton to be jailed, including some with the words “Lock her up”.

But the real-estate mogul signaled his approval during the Friday rally. “We have to win this state”.

Even more upsetting, Trump claimed that the “millions of dollars” he spends making his hotels accessible to disabled people demonstrates his respect for those with disabilities.

Experts predict that “negative partisanship” – voting against a candidate – will play a major role in deciding who makes it to the White House.

But that didn’t stop Trump from bashing him, according to the Denver Post.

Disability rights advocates hailed Clinton’s acceptance speech on Thursday night for putting virtually unprecedented emphasis on the struggles and rights of people with disabilities.
