Kaine breaks with Clinton on abortion provision
Tim Kaine would be her running mate, the internet went wild with witty memes.

“You truly are the reason I have so much confidence that America’s best days are still ahead of us”, Clinton said.
Elaine Gelb, a real estate manager from Philadelphia, said although she didn’t view Kaine as an “exciting” pick, the senator appeared to be a good match and political partner for Clinton.
“Hillary’s vision is a borderless world where working people have no power, no jobs, no safety”, he wrote.
The more casual format of the upcoming barnstorm suits Kaine just fine, said the VP candidate, who explained he felt “weird” being on the big convention stage because, “I don’t like wearing a tie that much”. “We’ve made progress, but we have work to do if we’re to make sure everybody is included”. There can hardly be anything Clinton aides would want to hear more than that, given their hard work at the convention to chip into Americans’ perceptions that Clinton is untrustworthy.
On Saturday, Clinton and Kaine will visit Johnstown Wire Technologies in Cambria county, Pennsylvania, before holding public rallies in Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio.
The bus trip is meant to highlight Clinton’s pledge to add new jobs, raise wages and promote homegrown manufacturing.
While polling averages show Trump and Clinton in a dead heat, she is pulling away with a commanding lead over him in Pennsylvania, according to two surveys conducted in July. Clinton is likely to get a similar boost after the Democratic convention, where she was lauded by Obama and other senior Democrats as a tough fighter with a long-held passion for helping the underprivileged. Kaine said as he introduced Clinton. “People think she is cold and calculating”, he said. The company, which says on its website that it employs 250 people, majority members of the United Steelworkers Union, manufactures carbon and alloy wire for transportation and construction industries worldwide.
“When someone runs for president and says their primary qualification for being president is because they claim to be a successful businessman, then it’s only fair to ask how did you become successful?” she said.
Clinton is targeting areas like western Pennsylvania and eastern and central OH in particular, which Trump thinks will pave his path to victory even though no Republican presidential candidate has won Pennsylvania since George H.W. Bush in 1988.
“I’m an optimist, and I’m confident”, Clinton told the crowd of mostly unionized factory workers.
“We’re going to be visiting a few places where people are making things”, Clinton said. And she took a dig at her GOP rival, saying Donald Trump “doesn’t make anything in America except bankruptcies”.
“It’s been a year and nobody has given me a reason why we should embrace a trade deal”, he said.

The convention in Philadelphia got off a to a rocky start due to protests by Bernie Sanders supporters angry at what they called bias toward Clinton’s campaign by the Democratic National Committee.
