The head of Michigan’s Democratic Party is asking his delegates to not boo speakers at tonight’s Democratic National Convention.

“This election and every election is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives”, she said.

Clinton, on the other hand, was always the prohibitive favorite to get the Democratic nomination, but that was not enough. The Democratic Party leadership, however, was engaging in many ways in ordinary politics created to help their party by nominating the most electable candidate.

Brazile served as an advisor to Bill Clinton’s presidential campaigns and managed Al Gore’s failed presidential campaign in 2000.

In the end, the DNC all but forced Debbie Wasserman Schultz to give up her position as party chairwoman.

The challenger to Hillary Clinton is speaking later Monday at the Philadelphia convention. Outside the convention hall, several hundred marched down Philadelphia’s sweltering streets with signs carrying messages such as “Never Hillary”.

In the wake of the outcry, an effort on both the Clinton and Sanders teams was underway to quash any lingering issues, sources said.

“Our credibility as a movement will be damaged by booing, turning of backs, walking out or other similar displays”, Sanders said in an email to the delegates, calling it a “personal courtesy” to him. Monday was to be “liberal night” at the convention, with Sanders and Sen. Sanders’ supporters almost drowned out her remarks with screams of “Shame!” and “You’re ruining our democracy!”

Watching the chaos unfold, Congressional District 2 state committeewoman and North Florida delegate Patricia Byrd from Bay County said, “Manners start when you are born”. For example, Clinton was awarded 28 delegates from Kentucky’s primary election and Sanders got 27. When Warren spoke on the main stage, in a key hour, she used most of her time not to sing the praises of Hillary, but to bash Trump.

“We will be united”, she said. “Not voting for Hillary is a sure win for Donald Trump”.

Jess McIntosh, director of communications outreach for the Clinton campaign, did not confirm this on CNN but said, “It wouldn’t surprise me that talks like that are happening”. Wasserman Schultz’s swift ouster underscores party leaders’ desire to avoid convention confrontations with Sanders’ loyal supporters.

The emails show that the DNC was committed to Mrs. Clinton all the way, from debates during the National Football League championship games to Saturday nights when people were holiday shopping.

“Brothers and sisters, this is the real world that we live in”, Sanders said as he tried to quiet the crowd.

Sanders, who endorsed Clinton two weeks ago after a long-fought primary, has sought to find common ground around the party platform and rules.
