Sanders die-hards return from DNC with mixed feelings

After resigning under pressure as Democratic National Committee chairwoman and being booed and jeered by protesters at a delegate breakfast from her home state of Florida, Debbie Wasserman Schultz conceded today that it’s been “a hard week”. Wasserman Schultz had resigned from her position as Democratic Party Chair the day before, after WikiLeaks published emails showing how staffers of the DNC had worked against Senator Bernie Sanders receiving the nomination. She attended a Florida delegate breakfast at the convention Monday.

Her reward for loyal servitude to the queen-extending back to time spent with the Clinton campaign prior to becoming DNC Chair-would in due time be delivered. However, after the pollsters provided more information about Canova to likely voters, Wasserman Schultz’ lead was reduced to just three points, 43 percent to 40 percent.

“It certainly seems like sentiment, public opinion has shifted quite dramatically”, Canova said.

The leaked e-mails exchanged among officials of the Democratic Party contained plentiful private information of important members not suitable for non-party members’ knowledge.

USA officials have said that Russian intelligence organizations were likely behind the hacks. Trump has said he was being sarcastic.

The former DNC Chair’s fairy tale ending may get a darker plot twist. But Nelson maintains he doesn’t anticipate the leak will have much of an impact on the election’s outcome.

Despite the negative focus on Wasserman Schultz, however, many political observers in South Florida believe she’s still a good bet for re-election.

“We won’t be doing any full statement on it – just quietly letting friends in the community know. And that is to make sure Donald Trump is not elected President of the United States”, Sanders said.
