Fury as Trump mocks Muslim soldier’s mother
Ghazala Khan told MSNBC on Friday that she chose not to speak because she still can not bear to see her son’s photographs. “They have seen the blackness of his character, of his soul”.

Her husband, Khizr, said Trump demonized Muslims but had “sacrificed nothing and no one” for his country.
He also blasted Trump’s rhetoric toward Muslims and argued that people of his faith are just as opposed to terrorism as anyone else in the U.S.
Clinton at a campaign rally Saturday night in Youngstown, Ohio, said the Khans specifically and Muslims generally are the most recent recipients of Trump’s insults, and referenced his past statements about immigrants and the disabled.
Trump had first suggested Khan’s wife was not allowed to speak in an interview with The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd, saying: “I’d like to hear his wife say something”.
“While I feel deeply for the loss of his son, Mr Khan, who has never met me, has no right to stand in front of millions of people and claim I have never read the Constitution, (which is false) and say many other inaccurate things”, Mr Trump said. I asked him to stay back, and not to go running around trying to become a hero, because I knew he would do something like that. I think I made a lot of sacrifices. “Does he really need to wonder why I did not speak?” she wrote. “She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say”, he said.
“He attacked the distinguished father of a soldier who sacrificed himself for his unit, Captain Khan”, said Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Appearing in the same video, Khizr Khan angrily spoke out again against Trump. “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing”, Trump told reporters.
Khan said Sunday Trump’s “policy, his practices, do not reflect that he has any understanding of the basic, fundamental constitutional principles of this country”. “This is why I showed him (the) Constitution”. She said that her religion teaches her that all human beings are equal in the eyes of God, and marriage is based on love and respect.
Earlier Sunday, he also tweeted: “Captain Khan, killed 12 years ago, was a hero, but this is about RADICAL ISLAMIC TERROR and the weakness of our “leaders” to eradicate it!”
“His wife, if you look at his wife, she was standing there”.
In a short video statement that aired on ABC News after Trump’s interview, Ghazala Khan said she was in too much pain to speak on stage in Philadelphia. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures.
“…I’ve had tremendous success”.
The address was the latest effort by Democrats to highlight their diversity and criticize Trump’s most contentious plans.
“For some time I have been saying that Muslim immigration into the United States should be stopped until we can properly vet them or until the war with Islam is over”, wrote Graham, who heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the Samaritan’s Purse, in a Facebook post.
When Donald Trump is talking about Islam, he is ignorant.
On CNN on Sunday, Khizr Khan said the couple had received a large outpouring of support after their appearance at the convention.

But former president Bill Clinton, the husband of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, said: “I cannot conceive how he can say that about a Gold Star mother”.
