United Nations tells Russia, ‘Leave creation of humanitarian corridors to us’

Russian Federation and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government declared a “humanitarian operation” in the besieged rebel-held sector of Aleppo on Thursday, opening “safe corridors” so people can flee Syria’s most important opposition stronghold.

Opposition activists meanwhile reported airstrikes on several towns and villages in Aleppo province, including the village of Ibin where at least six people were killed according to the Observatory and the LCC.
