Why Putin is backing Trump for the White House

And the FBI is investigating who is behind the hack of the Democratic National Committee and the leak of its emails to WikiLeaks – a disclosure that disrupted the first day of the Democrats’ convention and prompted the resignation of DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Trump walked back the comment Thursday, calling it sarcasm.

I don’t bring up the possibility that Trump has already been bribed or blackmailed by Putin because I don’t know enough to really discuss it. I will say there are people who continue to bring it up because they think it was absolutely bribery and blackmail. “It’s time for the party to unite and get together, because it’s the only way we’re going to defeat Donald Trump”, said Ernest Morris, a delegate from the US Virgin Islands.

American intelligence agencies have told the White House they have “high confidence” the hacking was the work of the Russian government. “It is inconceivable to me that any presidential candidate could be that irresponsible”.

Trump said he has “nothing to do with Putin” and has never spoken with him, though in the past he has bragged about having done so.

In particular, this concerns the UN Charter, UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/68/262 “The territorial integrity of Ukraine”, the Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with Ukraine’s accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons of 1994, the obligations under the Treaty on Friendship, the cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation of 1997 and other norms of worldwide law.

Mr. Putin reportedly loathes Hillary Clinton, because as secretary of state she forcefully opposed his expansionism and correctly labeled him as a ruthless autocrat. He has pleaded not guilty and faces trial later this year. At the time Putin proclaimed a duty to defend the ethnic Russians who dominate the population there.

“The United States has been very direct about our view that the attempted annexation of Crimea by Russian Federation is a flagrant violation, an egregious violation of global norms”, spokesman Josh Earnest said.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said he timed the release before the convention to hamper Clinton’s election efforts and has promised to release additional documents throughout the campaign.

“A lot of people are saying that this [Trump’s comments] went too far and some action should be taken”.

But presidential and political scholars say Trump’s remarks are no laughing matter and yet another worrisome example of the man who wants to be president acting very unpresidential.

Questions about Trump’s relationship to the Kremlin didn’t begin with the WikiLeaks episode. This morning on NBC’s The Today Show, his many lies about his ties with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin, were exposed for all to see. Afterwards, political experts declared victory for the Democrats when they described the DNC as portraying American values and the RNC as being centered on Russian Federation and Trump, as conservative blogger AGConservative tweeted to TalkingPointsMemo. Trump positively glows as he repeats reports that “Putin likes me”. His campaign manager, Paul Manafort, worked with pro-Russian oligarchs in the Ukraine and managed the election of the pro-Putin Ukrainian leader Viktor Yanukovych.

Trump then responded he “has his own ideas”.

“Only reason we’re talking about this is b/c HC deleted e-mails on home server & it’s hurting her campaign”. Trump appears to like decisive autocrats because they’re, well, decisive. “Keep in mind: Crooked Hillary still hasn’t said what was on those emails”.

Ms Clinton’s email scandal started when it was revealed she sent and received top secret and classified information on her personal email server for years, and she had deleted about half of her emails that contained personal information.

If Donald wins the presidential election he will have that power. Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus will talk about the Democratic convention.
