Bloys told the press yesterday at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour that the plan is for the yet-to-be announced eighth season of the adaptation of George RR Martin’s novel to be its last, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bloys said that if he could get them to do more seasons, then he would take 10 more seasons of the hit show.

Bloys said that it was a decision by “The Game of Thrones” creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to only have eight seasons for their flagship series.

The HBO executive also mentioned that the cable network is open to the idea of a spinoff, it would be another show set in Westeros, but the idea has to make sense creatively and appeal to the audience.

The series recently concluded its sixth season and the seventh season is slated to premiere in mid-2017 with a total of seven episodes.

As the end of “GOT” has been confirmed, the “GOT” fans are unstoppable to make theories online.

But just because the adventures of Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow are coming to an end, doesn’t mean we’ve seen the end of “Game of Thrones” entirely. This information has sparked rumors that these actors will have an appearance in Season 7.

Game of Thrones” Season 7 will consist of seven episodes.

Bloys also admitted that he has had talks about a potential spinoff or prequel series with Benioff and Weiss, but “there are no concrete plans” for any Game of Thrones follow-up yet. I’m not sure the guys can wrap their heads around it when they are about to start production. It’s a rather brilliant composition, they’re about to start filming shortly.
