Debbie Wasserman Schultz had the Worst Week in Washington (again)

The survey, conducted by the Los Angeles-based polling group of Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin, Metz & Associates (FM3), was conducted immediately after Wasserman Schultz stepped down as head of the Democratic National Committee last week.

Wasserman Schultz has kept a low profile this week, but she made an appearance Thursday afternoon to receive an award from the National Jewish Democratic Council. There’s no question about it.

“Can I just say, to the Bernie or Bust people: You’re being ridiculous”, Silverman said Monday night at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

“We won’t be doing any full statement on it – just quietly letting friends in the community know”.

Addressing her resignation as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee for the first time, Debbie Wasserman Schultz accused Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump of treason.

Wassermann Schultz became one of the most controversial figures of the week when hacked DNC emails were released by Wikileaks, and they showed that she and other officials seemed to conspire against Bernie Sanders.

Standing in the middle of an archipelago of Sanderistas and journalists, I saw one young woman tearing off strips of the white tape that many were using to symbolically shut their mouths (“No voice” the most popular message) and methodically blocking out the Vermonter’s name from one of his signs. She announced Sunday that she would resign as chairwoman after the convention. Donald Trump suggested Wednesday that Russian Federation or “any other country or person” also leak emails taken from Clinton’s personal server if they had them, sending off alarm bells among USA security experts and politicians who said his comments were an invitation to commit cyberattacks against a presidential candidate. Wasserman Schultz said she propelled herself through “the five stages of grief” before supporting Barack Obama that year.

When a few people chuckled, she said: “It isn’t the least bit amusing”. We were hacked by Russian espionage organizations. “I am taking off one hat but putting on another”, she said. And for a presidential candidate to encourage that to happen again?
