Clinton said she’ll stand by North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies against any Russian threats. “From that moment to this one, every single memory I have of my mom is that regardless what was happening in her life, she was always always there for me”. “I’m voting for the progressive who will protect our planet from climate change and our communities from gun violence; who will reform our criminal justice system; and who knows that women’s rights are human rights; and who knows that LGBT[Q] rights are human rights, here at home and around the world”.

The speech was Clinton’s turn in the spotlight after three days of electrifying appearances by President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and first lady Michelle Obama, and Clinton acknowledged that some people still do not know her well.

Turning back to Trump, Clinton questioned whether the Republican nominee’s temperament was suited to the presidency.

The speech came after a series of high-profile endorsements this week from former military leaders and national security experts, and a week after Republican leaders used their convention to batter Clinton over a host of past scandals, portraying her as too untrustworthy to serve as commander in chief. “I will be a president for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents”, she said. Quinn also expressed that a majority of the North Carolina Bernie delegates had united for Clinton.

“We have never, ever had someone who has walked in our shoes, we have never had someone who understands what it means to be a woman in America, and we have never had the kind of champion that we are going to have in Hillary Clinton”. She explained that the service part of public service came easier to her than the public part.

“It’s not just a detail if it’s your kid, if it’s your family”, she said.

Confronting a “moment of reckoning”, Hillary Clinton on Friday portrayed herself as a unifier for divided times and a tested, steady hand to lead in a volatile world.

– My presidential nomination is a milestone on America’s “march toward a more ideal union”. We will disrupt their efforts online to reach and radicalize young people in our country. “Donald Trump, you are no Ronald Reagan”, Elmets said.

Clinton’s convention closed with the traditional balloons and a song blaring that they were stronger together and united. Even as Clinton and her validators argue Trump is unqualified for the Oval Office, they recognize the businessman has a visceral connection with some voters in a way the Democratic nominee does not. “Yes, those were Donald Trump’s words in Cleveland”, she added.

Khan continued to address Trump directly: “You have sacrificed nothing and no one….We can not solve our problems by building walls, sowing division”.

She said that she was still trying to make sense of the police shootings that happened in Dallas.

“Normally, he would have rallied his primary opponents but he did the opposite”, Democratic pollster Stanley Greenberg said of Trump.
