3 takeaways from Obamas DNC speech nominating Hillary
“They’re angry. He was angry”, Trump said.

The campaign said a data program maintained by the Democratic National Committee and used by the campaign and other entities was accessed as part of a cyber attack on the DNC.
While her speech lacked the electrifying qualities of President Barack Obama and a parade of other prominent Democratic speakers, Clinton spoke authoritatively and with self-assurance in her pitch to the American public. “No more Mr Nice Guy”.
Excitement filled the convention area heading into her speech, with attendees lining up outside the arena doors to experience the historic moment.
“I’m starting to agree with you”, the 70-year-old told supporters chanting “lock her up, lock her up” in Colorado Springs. “I’m taking the gloves off”, he said. Mr. Trump could lead us to a very unsafe world one hesitates even to imagine.
Kaine said: “We are on this tour so that we can talk about the American economy: to talk about manufacturing; to talk about the way to grow jobs and make sure everybody benefits from our economic growth, not just a few”.
“And it’s not so much that I’m on the ticket it’s because of the stark choice that’s posed to America in this election”, she added.
Kaine, in introducing Clinton, told the wildly friendly crowd, “weren’t you proud” about how “optimistic” and “upbeat” the Democrat convention was, a contrast to the Republican convention in Cleveland that was a journey “through Donald Trump’s mind, and that is a very frightening place”.
“I get it that some people just don’t know what to make of me”.
Trump, who has never previously held office, portrays himself as the law and order candidate – the outsider who will shake up an out-of-touch Washington, restore jobs, cut the deficit and end illegal immigration. She cast herself as a steady leader at a “moment of reckoning” for the country, and contrasted her character with what she described as Trump’s unsafe and volatile temperament.
Clinton’s pitch was the antithesis of Trump’s to Republicans in Cleveland where he played on the fears of Americans by offering a dark vision of the U.S. as a frightened, terrorised and lawless nation that only he, the strongman outsider, could fix.
JOSEPH BIDEN, Vice President of the United States: Think about that.
It’s only going to get worse, America. “Change that makes America great again”, the video promised.
Clinton needs to win over some of the disgruntled working class voters that form the backbone of Trump’s base.
Trump supporters say Mrs Clinton deserves to be prosecuted for her handling of USA foreign policy as President Barack Obama’s first-term secretary of state and for her use of a private email server while in that office. But there’s another invisible barrier for her campaign: reluctance in many electors to give her trust. Then the convoy proceeded to an afternoon outdoor rally in the town of Harrisburg. Instead they will unleash a barrage of negative ads against Trump making it all about his negatives while trying to cover up hers.
DONALD TRUMP (R), Presidential Nominee: I have joined the political arena, so that the powerful can no longer beat up on people who cannot defend themselves.

It’s not as if Trump hasn’t made specific proposals, most notably building a wall along the border with Mexico, deporting 11 million unauthorized immigrants, banning Muslims from entering the US, and doing away with multilateral free-trade agreements. And he personalised the contest more sharply than any recent candidate has dared, calling Hillary Clinton corrupt and crooked.
