Former Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is excited at the prospect of Paul Pogba joining him at Manchester United with Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger saying the fee is “absolutely crazy” for the Frenchman.
The transfer has been one of the most heavily discussed prior to the next Premier League season, though it was previously reported that Manchester United had grown exhausted of the back-and-forth exchanges between the Italian club.
Paul Pogba’s agent has insisted that despite numerous reports of his client’s agreement with Manchester United nearing completion, nothing has been finalised.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho all but confirmed United were interested in signing the 23-year-old playmaker last week, stating: “You have smoke, you have fire”.
He scored his first United goal with an acrobatic effort not even four minutes into his debut and he was delighted to get his first goal on Swedish soil. Just go next to him and you’d find an elbow or some other sharp bit.
“I can see why Mourinho said “listen, he’s going to be playing up top”, because that’s where Rooney is good. The midfielder was the best player that I ever played with – by a distance”, Forlan said in his column for The National. But he had great ability, some of the things he could do, and he’s gone up a level since he left us’.
