Xiaomi bites Apple with thin, light and gorgeous Mi Notebook Air

Lenovo’s Air 13 Pro is now available for pre-registration and is available at a similar price point as the Mi Notebook Air 13, at CNY 4,999 (which is approximately Rs 52,000). It comes in two display sizes: a 12.5-inch model and a 13.3-inch variant. According to observers, though the new Mi Notebook Air has top-tier specs and slim design much like some of the flagship offerings now out in the market, the new Xiaomi addition may be a strong contender, given that the initial unveiling placed the price tag of the premium version to just $750.

It should be noted that the Mi Notebook has similar weight and thickness features.

Nonetheless, there are still few who are keeping their fingers crossed that the ultraportable notebook will be revealed in September together with Apple’s other high-end devices.

The battery if is 9.5 hours compared with the Macbook’s 12 hours although this is the only area of note that the Apple version wins. Furthermore, if a user enables Power Nap, they will continue to get new email and calendar invitations while their computer is asleep.

The Mi Notebook will start to be shipped in China from 2 August and we will inform you of a release date in Thailand if and when we are made privy to the information. It comes with 8 GB, 256 and 512 GB, Intel HD Graphics 515 and a USB 3.1 Gen 1.

The Apple laptop is available in 256 GB and 128 GB on-board storage.

No matter which country you live in, it seems as though the list of Windows 10 devices is always growing.

The Lenovo Air 13 Pro weighs around 1.29kgs, which is nearly the same as the Mi Notebook Air.

The Xiaomi device will be released in China on August 2.

That price will go up when the device hits stores.

MacBook Air hasn’t been refreshed for more than a year, and it still doesn’t offer a Retina screen resolution.

However, some reports suggest that the USB-C interface utilizes electric current that is bigger than one of the earlier-generation interfaces, and can lead to heat dissipation and interference problems when adopting too many at the same time.
