The start date and the trailer were shared Friday at Comic-Con International in San Diego.
Greg Nicotero, who directed the first episode of season seven recalled, “I remember reading [issue one] and remembering how brutal and evil and senseless it felt”.
This includes a favorite in the source comics, Ezekiel (played by Khary Payton), a former zookeeper who fancies himself as a lord of a new community named The Kingdom.
Last Thursday the San Diego Comic-Con featured a Fear The Walking Dead panel in Hall H, which included actors such as Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lorenzo James Henrie, Stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Colman Domingo, Frank Dillane and Mercedes Mason. “I changed the way I move, the inflection of my voice… scenes happen and we will all look at each other and go, ‘What just happened there?’ It gets seriously weird with Negan around”.
Leading up to the Season premiere, AMC said it will air a behind-the-scenes The Walking Dead Season 7 Preview Special on August 14 and a two-hour retrospective with the working title of The Walking Dead Recap Special on October 16. This is about 2 weeks later than normal for The Walking Dead, so they are really drawing out this cliffhanger as long as possible.
While the showrunners and cast are being very hush hush about the new season, fans will surely get some answers when the show returns to AMC on October 23. The 32-second clip still shows the raging scene of the Season 6 Finale where Negan let’s his risky bat, Lucille choose who to kill.
“TWD” fans looking for answers as to which of the 11 major characters survived Negan’s deadly attack with his beloved barbed wire covered bat Lucille you won’t find any clues in the official “TWD” trailer for season 7. The 3-minute extended trailer did some catching up with characters like Morgan, Carol, Dwight, Tara and Enid.
