Sources in the Democratic Party, report that there has been a cyber-attack on the party’s computers, including on the computers used by Democratic Presidential Candidate, Hillary Clinton for her presidential campaign.

The breach at the DCCC, which raises money for Democratic House candidates, may have been launched by Russian hackers who also attacked Democratic National Committee, according to several news reports, quoting unnamed sources.

Nick Merrill, a Clinton spokesman, said an analytics data program used by the campaign had been accessed as part of the breach at the party’s headquarters.

The analytics data programme is one of many systems the campaign accesses to conduct voter analysis and does not include social security numbers or credit card numbers, the official said.

The Kremlin dismissed the allegations as absurd, but President Barack Obama has refused to rule out the possibility that Russian Federation is trying to sway the presidential election in favor of Republican Donald Trump.

The Russian government has strongly denied the charges, describing them as “poisonous” and a symptom of “anti-Russian paranoia” that often engulfs us presidential campaigns.

Reuters described that attack as a “broad cyber attack on Democratic political organizations”.

On Friday, the officials of Democratic Party said that they have been targeted by a fresh cyber attack. Bernie Sanders during their primary contest for the presidential nomination.

An earlier version of the Times’ story specified that “email accounts connected to the campaign of Hillary Clinton…were hacked”. As a result, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Florida, announced last weekend that she would resign her position as DNC chair by the end of the week. Upon discovering the breach, “we immediately took action and engaged with CrowdStrike, a leading forensic investigator, to assist us in addressing the incident”, said Meredith Kelly, a spokeswoman for the DCCC. Most of the DNC emails appeared to have been stolen May 25.
