Preliminary inquiry into the incident suggest that it was a suicide, police said.

The incident took place on July 28 when the two youths allegedly came to her house and murdered her after sexually assaulting her. They also allegedly tried to burn her body. Her body was burnt below the waist and an autopsy report revealed that she was raped before being strangled to death.
“During investigation, a victim’s friend disclosed that they were stalked by two youth in the locality”. After the friend’s testimony, the police arrested two youth who were stalking and harassing the girls.
According to Delhi Police, the victim was found dead in her home on Thursday. To hide sexual assault, they burned the lower portion of the body and wrapped it in a blanket and fled the room.
He further said, “One of the arrested men is a serial sexual offender”.
Another teen’s brutal rape caused massive outrage last month after it emerged that she was repeatedly assaulted and then forced to drink acid by the man who had allegedly raped her earlier.

The girl had allegedly complained to the police about the men.
