Kaine also drew contrasts between the Democratic and Republican conventions.

Trump spoke as if Russian Federation was listening to his speech and asked them to find the missing emails and said he believes Russian Federation would be rewarded by the press if they do. “I can say with confidence, there has never been a man or a woman, not me, not Bill, nobody more qualified than Hillary Clinton to serve as President of the United States of America”. “He calls himself a business guy, which is true, but I have to say I know plenty of business men and women who’ve achieved remarkable success without leaving a trail of lawsuits and unpaid workers and people feeling like they got cheated”.

“Weren’t you proud of how optimistic, upbeat and positive the DNC was?” he said. “I’m not telling you that everything is peachy keen – I’m telling you we’ve made progress, but we have work to do”.

As he walked across the stage and waved to the crowd cheering him on, Hillary Clinton came out to surprise her party.

Supporters of Clinton and Trump are sharply polarised, with Republicans at Trump rallies routinely chanting “Lock her up!” and Democrats adopting for themselves chants of “U-S-A!”

“She’s always been concerned about the tone and the tenor of politics”, Obama said.
