Including the change in gas prices in OH during the past week, prices yesterday were 24.9 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 14 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. “At the moment drivers are enjoying this distinction, as prices are dropping on abundant supplies and limited disruption to production”. Gas prices have been falling at a rate of 3 to 5 cents a week.
“Motorists are seeing some of the cheapest gas prices for this time of year in over a decade”, said AAA spokesman Josh Carrasco. That’s up three cents from a week ago, but 16 cents less than the $2.25 average reported a month ago.
Prices Sunday were 58.5 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago, and 16.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
Currently, some 68 percent of gas stations across Georgia are selling gas at less than $2 a gallon.
