Whoever welcomes Rajnath will be compelled to leave Pak, says Islamist leader

The Lawyers Club Chairman, Syed Babar Jan Qadri, described the latest statement of Indian home minister beyond reason who blamed Pakistan for the ongoing situation in occupied Kashmir.

The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) leadership had agreed in 2005 during the 13th summit in Dhaka that Home/Interior Ministers of the Saarc nations may meet annually to strengthen cooperation in the area of counter-terrorism. While the Kashmiri youth are hoisting Pakistani flags all around with slogans of long-live Pakistan, time has come for Pakistan to forcefully advocate Kashmir issue at all world forums with force and conviction.

He said each Pakistani is ready to follow the path of Burhan Wani, who died due to Indian firing in Kashmir.

Asked specifically if the Home Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Swarup said, “He is going for a multilateral event…There is no such proposal”.

The US has expressed concern over the violence in Kashmir and called on “all sides” to make efforts to find a peaceful solution to the issue as it wants to see the tensions de-escalated.

Reiterating Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech, he said, “Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir and by God’s grace, Kashmir will become a part of it someday”. Singh will be accompanied by Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and several other senior officers of the Home Ministry.

Kashmir continues to be broken up between rivals India and Pakistan since the two won independence from Britain in 1947.

According to India’s official broadcaster – All India Radio (AIR), the conference will focus on strengthening of network among police authorities of SAARC member -countries and enhancing information-sharing among law enforcement agencies.

Indian Army Colonel N.N. Joshi said Saturday that the clashes occurred overnight in Naugam sector, almost 120 kilometers northwest of the main city of Srinagar, after Indian troops intercepted the militants attempting to infiltrate into the territory from Pakistan. Rajnath would attend the SAARC Home/Interior Ministers meeting in Islamabad on August 3 and 4.
