Hillary Clinton’s Historic Night: The Party Rallies Around Its First Female Nominee
Her past rival and former boss, he delivered what amounted to an enthusiastic recommendation for her job promotion. Americans don’t say: “I alone can fix it”. “But Hillary’s been in the room, She’s been part of those decisions….” Even in the midst of crisis, she listens to people, and she keeps her cool; she treats everybody with respect. “I know this because I served with her”, John Allen, who was commander in Afghanistan, said.

“That is the Hillary I know”. That’s the Hillary I’ve come to admire.
While most convention speakers focused on a bright future under a Clinton presidency, many carried the theme of attacking Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his portrayal of America.
An email hack on the Democratic National Committee before the convention showed that party officials showed favour to Mrs Clinton and tried to undermine Mr Sanders’ campaign, further painting Mrs Clinton as an insider politician. He is tying her to every stumble and setback in the Obama administration, from the ambush of police officers in Dallas to the rise of the Islamic State.
Trump said Wednesday that he has no ties to Russian Federation whatsoever, but that hasn’t stopped Democratic donors in Philadelphia from saying that in the absence of Trump’s tax returns, voters are left to wonder whether there are undisclosed financial ties between Trump and foreign entities. Her husband labored mightily on Tuesday night to describe her as a “change-maker”. Trump exclaimed. “She’s been there 30 years!” But Saunders says Trump taps into a “legitimate” frustration acute among small-town and rural white men whose fathers and grandfathers once helped elect Democrats.

With Clinton, “our worldwide relations will not be reduced to a business transaction”, Allen said.
Clinton, who has come under fire by those who say she had flip-flopped on her support for the controversial Trans Pacific Partnership agreement, told those gathered that she would say “no” to unfair trade deals.
Or, anyway, as CNN media reporter Brian Stelter tweeted, the fourth-and-final night of the Democratic convention, the most-watched of the four, doesn’t seem to have done as well as the final night of Trump’s.
‘No, but I did think it was amusing. So did Gore and McCain.
With virtually the same certainty, however, the other woman running for president this year, the Green Party’s Jill Stein, will also get a bounce coming out of the Philadelphia convention. They pointed at one another, hugged, and raised their hands in a victory salute. It will be an extraordinarily hard campaign, one of the nastiest ever.
As of July 29, the last day of convention, Clinton’s chances to win Florida is 49.3 percent, Iowa is 50.9 percent, North Carolina is 41 percent, OH is 49 percent and Pennsylvania is 62.6 percent. She embraced the historic nature of her candidacy, telling the crowd: “Nobody who looked like me was thought to be possible to run for president”. “It consolidates the gain that he’s made”. Clinton and Trump are tied in the RealClearPolitics polling average. “She said that what anxious President Kennedy during that very risky time was that a war might be started – not by big men with self-control and restraint, but by little men – the ones moved by fear and pride”.

“It really matters to me that my mom in this election consistently has told you how she’s going to do everything, whether that’s on gun control or protecting a woman’s right to choose or any of the things we’ve talked about”. That’s what happens when we try….
