Android gets Pokemon Go update but no one’s happy about it
In a Reddit thread (as picked up on by Kotaku), players are basing this on the game’s latest update which removed the ability to see nearby Pokémon based on loose proximity. After all, these apps were mainly bent as a retort to fans unhappy about Niantic closing down Pokemon Go’s chasing function, supposedly in an attempt to help recover waiter presentation.

The move comes in conjunction with an update to the game itself that has addressed the broken “three steps” tracking system – by removing it entirely.
-Fixed issues with displaying certain map features.
However, creators Niantic were keen to let users know that fixes and updates would be coming soon.
Niantic has removed the battery saver option.
Unlike in most cases of cheating in games, the situation with Pokemon GO is a tad murky and gray. When your phone vibrated to alert you of a nearby Pokemon, you could flip your phone right-side up and resume as normal. However, it looks like Niantic didn’t really like the idea of sites like Pokevision.
Predictably, this did not sit well with some of the app’s users, and CNET reports that many of them are blasting the company for the update.
This is a trainer’s worst nightmare.
Players were hoping that the update would finally fix the bug so that they could go back to hunting for “Pokemon” in peace.
The augmented reality app has proved overwhelmingly popular since launching in the United Kingdom (and even before then), leading to some accounts being sold for hundreds or even thousands of pounds.
The entire affair puts a dampener on the game for many, and the media silence on Niantic’s behalf does them little favors in this instance.
According to Mirror, users are frustrated and vent their anger after last week Nintendo released the game update to the latest version, on July 31. But thankfully, the update includes customizable avatar.

The publication also provided the features in the new updates. Sorry, Niantic, but you can do better.
