Malouff had reportedly climbed the large pine tree on Lelary Street and Eagle View Drive about 5 p.m. when police came to arrest him.
The man was identified as 30-year old Lane Malouff who was wanted on several warrants, including two felonies according to Colorado Springs Police.
Members of the SWAT team had arrived to negotiate with the man when he had still not come down about an hour and a half later.
Officers didn’t know if he was armed and evacuated several nearby homes as a precaution.
Alamosa police said they were called to the 1800 block of Edison Avenue to check on a female yelling for help. She sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Malouff is now being held at the El Paso County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
