Upgrade to Windows 10 by Friday – or pay!
Teri Goldstein was recently awarded $10,000 after Microsoft settled a lawsuit filed by travel agent from Sausalito, Calif., after an unauthorized Windows 10 upgrade rendered the PC she used to run her business inoperable.

July 29th is your last chance to upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 for free.
Before making the leap to the latest version of Windows, you should probably make sure it can actually be applied to your system.
“Windows 10 Pro Education” and “Windows 10 Education” have been “designed for the unique needs of K-12 institutions”. You might be glad you did. Of course, you should upgrade, but if you’re on the fence, you’ll need to choose quickly because after tomorrow, it’ll cost you. Yes, I’m aware that Windows 10 will allow you to roll back for thirty days, but the image is another layer of safety, and a more permanent method to return to your previous setup.
The new feature is designed for people who constantly make notes on sticky notes – but want the cloud-powered back-up of a PC.
Did you eagerly upgrade at the first opportunity (maybe even as a Windows Insider), or did you perhaps need a bit of persuasion before doing so? But we’re guessing you’re well aware that Microsoft wants you to get up to date. There are few reasons not to – Windows 7 was ok(ish), Windows 8 was rubbish, Windows 8.1 was slightly less rubbish. Users can continue to use the Media Creation Tool to create Windows 10 installation media.
On July 29, Microsoft will cease offering free Windows 10 updates. It will be a heavy 3 GB download and it could take the best part of a day unless you have reasonably fast Internet. But it is no longer supported with OS upgrades from Microsoft. However, now Windows 10 is free of any sort of bugs or glitches and is working just fine on millions of PCs who have chosen to upgrade.

According to PC World, the “All apps” button of the Start menu will be removed after you get the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
