Florida’s back-to-school tax holiday shorter, smaller
According to the National Retail Federation families are expected to spend about $8-billion more on back-to-school shopping this year. Once again this year, Ohio’s Sales Tax Holiday will help to ease this burden for parents as they invest in their children by preparing them to return to the classroom this August.

The Georgia Department of Revenue has released the sales, items list and limitations of the Back to School Sales Tax Holiday 2016, which will take place July 30 and 31. Such reform would allow the state to significantly scale back an oppressive sales tax that weighs the heaviest on poor Tennesseans struggling to feed and clothe their families.
Eligible items include clothing and school supplies costing less than $100 and computers sold for less than $1,500.
“During this time, certain products can be purchased without the four percent state sales tax, and if the city and county are participating as well, that tax will be waived, too”, said Magee.
As Ohio’s business climate continues to improve thanks to lower taxes and doing away with unnecessary bureaucracy, businesses have more confidence to set up shop in our state and families are able to keep more of their hard-earned money for when they need it most.
