Clinton Takes the Lead Over Trump In Post-Convention National Poll
Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump among Latino voters has become so pronounced that if the election were held today the Democratic presidential nominee would sweep her rival in all 12 “battleground” states. Buffett is the latest business leader to back Clinton over Republican Donald Trump. Only last week, another poll gave a similar advantage to Trump. Clinton has not had a lead this big in a long time.

Khan in his speech criticized Trump, suggesting that the Republican nominee had never read the United States Constitution because of Trump’s proposed temporary Muslim immigration ban and that he had sacrificed nothing. While Trump also improved his numbers on that metric, his voters are more evenly divided, with 47% saying they’re backing him to show support and 50% saying it’s more to oppose Clinton.
Just hours after she was chosen to be the first woman to be the presidential nominee of a major political party, Democrat Hillary Clinton took a bus tour through Pennsylvania and Ohio. It’s hard to see how they wouldn’t – the conventions are four-day affairs wholly controlled by the party committees, and are choreographed to put the best possible face on the presidential candidate and the party as a whole. But he said if Clinton is elected she needs appoint Sanders supporters to key positions to make sure progressive policies are followed.
Some 85 percent of people say they the U.S.is more politically divided than in the past. By comparison, Morning Consult’s poll conducted July 22 through July 24 had Trump with a 4-point lead.
Tim Kaine’s favorability rating among registered voters rose from 31 percent before the Democratic convention to 39 percent after.
