Bills sign Reggie Bush

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills brought in free-agent running back Reggie Bush for a visit on Monday with the intention of adding veteran depth behind starter LeSean McCoy.

An interesting tid-bit in Bush’s return, is that he’ll return to to the L.A. Memorial Coliseum to face the Los Angeles Rams on October 9th for the first time since his USC days.

The former Saints, Lions and 49ers running back is going to sign on with the Bills for one year.

That sets the stage for Bush to take over punt-return duties as soon as he eases into practice this upcoming week.

Bush has had high and low points during his career that has spanned 10 years.

CARDINALS: Coach Bruce Arians says wide receiver John Brown will be sidelined while undergoing the concussion protocol.

“I think I’m just taking it year-by-year”, Bush said Monday. That’s something that Bills fans can definitely look forward to.

With the expected addition of Bush to the roster, he can impact the roster in a few different ways. He has 100 punt returns in his National Football League career, but had just two last season thanks in large part to a knee injury suffered last November while he was playing for San Francisco. Bush can also return punts. “So you’ll definitely see me back there”.

The three-time Pro Bowl selection is also excited about the upcoming release of a second children’s book he’s written to support military families.

After a one-year stint in San Francisco that saw him play in just five games in 2015, Reggie Bush appears to be headed to a new home in Buffalo, according to multiple reports.

With Detroit in 2013 he gained 1,006 yards, but then fell way off in 2014, and after moving to San Francisco previous year, he played only five games before suffering a freak knee injury. “I’ve been through worse”.

“I guess the good thing is I’ve been around long enough where I’ve pretty much been through every offensive system possible”, he said. I’ve always given my full attention to this game until I’m done with it, because I don’t want to have any regrets when I’m done.

“It’s definitely been a little bit up and down obviously battling through some injuries”, he said. The Bills can use the patch on the roster though, after Karlos Williams was dealt a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy. “Now getting a chance to play for him will be very cool”.
