The crowd chanted with her as she swayed along to their rallying cries. Kelly will speak during the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on July 27, 2016.

“I know we came here to boogie, but I have a few things to say”, Kesha began.

“Speaking is hard for me”, Giffords added, “but in January 2017, I will be able to say these words – ‘Madame President'”.

And she concluded her brief speech, with a couple of final thoughts.

She said that Clinton earned her support because she believes a Clinton White House would fight against gun lobbyists.

“Hillary knows that we save lives by doing more to keep guns out of the wrong hands”, he said. “That’s why I’m voting for Hillary”, she cheered as the crowd chanted along with her.

Giffords was among 19 people shot at a congressional constituent meeting she was holding on Tucson’s northwest side January 8, 2011.

It was an endorsement from one of the best known modern survivors of gun violence: former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

Giffords called Hillary Clinton – the Democratic nominee for president – “tough” and “courageous”, and Giffords said Clinton, as president, will “stand up to the gun lobby”.
