‘Jason Bourne’ to Take Out the Competition at the Box Office

Matt Damon is once again Bourne, who is first glimpsed on the skids, bare-knuckle fighting in Greece for chump change. The movie is directed and penned by Paul Greengrass and features one of the finest artist of the industry, Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel, Julia Stiles and Riz Ahmed in the main lead role of the movie.

“The latest globetrotting affair is about as creative as its title: With the exception of a wild vehicle chase through the Strip and a timely plot point dealing with surveillance in a post-Snowden world, the movie is a by-the-numbers action film that’s not almost as strong as its Damon-led predecessors”. Jason Bourne comes out today.

While there’s no concrete info as to when the Jason Bourne DVD will be available to purchase, it’s looking like December 2016 is the most likely time when the film will be released.

Overall, Jason Bourne is this week’s effort to liven up the summer movie season with a slightly classier action outing than we usually get. In a summer full of exhausted retreads like Independence Day: Resurgence and Alice Through the Looking Glass, one could do a lot worse than taking another globe-hopping trip with Jason Bourne. Every decision to make a movie is really up for to the family. Alongside him is Paul Greengrass, director of “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum”, who takes charge of this diverting but underwhelming chapter of the “Bourne” saga. When Bourne’s past once again catches up with him, he emerges from hiding into a very different landscape – it’s a world of secrets and lies, becoming Wikileaks and headlines, privacy versus security.

The last time Damon played Bourne was in 2007, and he admitted it wasn’t easy to get back into the role.

Behind “Jason Bourne”, STX Entertainment’s “Bad Moms” entered the weekend at No. 2.

At the end of the day, “Jason Bourne” is disappointing. As a defender of The Bourne Legacy, though, I was interested to see where Jeremy Renner would take the franchise as another spy – one a little more friendly than the cold and calculating Bourne.
