Olympics-Athletics-Bolt arrives in Rio for shot at immortality
The title of greatest male gymnast ever is not handed out lightly, so it speaks volumes that Japan’s Kohei Uchimura, a 19-time world championships medallist, is considered by some observers as worthy of the honour. My coach always tells me that the older you get it’s going to get harder, and you have to push yourself.

“So through this programme, we have the opportunity to teach them other things that we consider important to their development”, he said.
The Olympics are not the main focus for Chris Froome in 2016, but he will be among the favourites in the men’s time trial in Rio and has described the prospect of winning gold as “fantastic”.
Bolt expects Rio to be his last Olympics, but he still dangles the possibility of a trip to Tokyo.
Often lost amid the hype surrounding Usain Bolt’s quest for a historic third Olympic sprint double is the fact his compatriot Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is aiming to become the first woman to win the 100m at three Games.
Next time someone criticizes your lack of a workout routine, just tell them that you’re living your life like Usain Bolt.
The power of athletics in attracting big audiences would be more hard without its global superstar.
“People always say to me, ‘Usain when you leave the sport, the sport is going to go down,”‘ Bolt said.
“He is somebody I look up to because he sets records and then breaks it and then does it all over again”. There are a lot of athletes stepping up.
The lanky sprinter is among 59 track and field athletes in Jamaica’s 63-member delegation.
For his many fans, Bolt is a beacon of integrity in a sport scarred by doping scandals.
Bolt however is never more risky than when he is challenged. “It will take a while but I think it will get back to its former glory when I walk away”.
He is absolutely certain he will be greatly missed.

Arguably the greatest sprinter in history, Bolt already owns the world records for the 100 meters and 200m.
