WWE RAW Results – 01 August 2016
Sasha Banks won the WWE Women’s Championship last week on “RAW”, and while there were rumors the decision was made because Charlotte needed time off, it turns out the WWE just wanted to kick off the New Era of the Red Brand with a bang. Not only that, but he is expected to be present tomorrow on Monday Night Raw along with his client Brock Lesnar. Rounding out he title-holders for “RAW”, it’s unlikely United States Champion Rusev will be there after geting married to Lana over the weekend.

Henry powers out of Rusev’s first attempt at the Accolade, but the champion manages to lock it in for a second time to submit Mark Henry.
Roman Reigns chose to interrupt at this point, attacking Rusev and sending him scurrying back up the ramp as he stood in the RAW ring.
Jax dominates Monroe, and wins the match with a very unique powerslam.
Gallows and Anderson are too busy doing the “Too Sweet” hand gesture, and Big E rolls up Anderson for the victory.
Who would make a better WWE Universal Champion?
On the match went, with both superstars landing big attacks, but when Zayn missed a big boot in the corner he only found Rollins waiting for him with a Pedigree to end the RAW main event for the night.

That was the angle they ran, too, where Heath Slater (the hottest free agent in sports entertainment) brought his old bandmate Jinder Mahal out to take over the ring as “2MB”. Slater demands a spot on the roster, and Mick Foley offers Slater and Mahal a proposition. It was originally believed that Paul Heyman would sign a new deal and return at Summerslam for Brock’s match with Randy Orton, but it appears now that he’ll be returning sooner than August 21st. Orton showed up at the end to hit an RKO out of nowhere on Lesnar, then he left through the crowd.
