Ubisoft will be making Rainbow Six Siege Operation Skull Rain available tomorrow, and ahead of the rollout, they have released a new launch trailer for it.

As with previous Rainbow Six Siege expansions, Operation Skull Rain includes two new Operators: Caveira and Capitão, both from Brazil’s Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE). The second character is Capitão, a gruff man who uses a special crossbow that fires bolts laced with poison to asphyxiate targets.

But how do you access this thin sliver of new content available in the Rainbow Six: Siege Skull Rain update? The updates and DLCs have also implemented a means of permanently banning players caught cheating, a system also used in “The Division”.

Starting August 2, the Favela map will be available for all players, and Season Pass holders will instantly receive the new BOPE operators.

Finally, the development team will also add several tweaks and improvements to the game. By popular request, the Tactical Realism mode prevents players from marking enemies, allowing only the timer, compass, gadget, and weapon panels to be visible in the HUD. Transitioning from hip-fire to scope-sight or ADS has also been improved with a new angled grip motion. We recently talked with Rainbow Six Brand Director Alex Remy at Siege’s Xbox Pro League Finals to learn more about the circumstances around Patriots’ cancellation and how Siege arose.
