Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man Sunday afternoon after he alleged attempted to stab Israeli soldiers stationed at the Huwwara checkpoint in the northern West Bank district of Nablus.

The Israeli army controls the crossing in and out of the Gaza Strip and Shin Bet, Israel’s domestic intelligence agency, told the Haaretz newspaper it chose to not let the Palestinian players leave the Gaza Strip “due to damaging security information and in light of the security situation”.
Most of the Palestinians killed were carrying out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks, according to Israeli authorities.
Palestinians said it stems from frustration at almost five decades of Israeli occupation. Israel says much of the Palestinian building in the area is illegal.
The news comes as Israeli bulldozers destroyed 11 Palestinian homes in Qalandiya, near Jerusalem, which brings the number of demolitions this year to 86.
Three Israelis confessed to kidnapping and killing Abu Khdeir in July 2014.
The spokesperson for Fatah-affiliated prisoners and former prisoners Nashat al-Wahidi said that the decision revealed the “ugly terrorist face” of the Israeli government, and warned that the move signals an increase in “racist Israeli policies targeting the lives of Palestinian prisoners”.
Qaraqe added that the Palestinian prisoners said they were dependent on the Ma’an TV channel for their main source of news on Palestine and deeply resented the IPS officials’ decision.

Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said in the weeks after Abu Khdeir’s murder, suspects Nasser Abu Khdeir, 19, and Mohammed Abu Khdeir, 21, rioted in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat, where the teen was kidnapped. She said Nasser Abu Khdeir also obtained weapons illegally.
