Lexington bookstores to host midnight release parties for new Harry Potter book
“Pottermania” will reach fever pitch as the Cursed Child opening in London is immediately followed by the midnight release of the play’s script book, allowing fans across the globe to find out what happens next to the boy wizard and his friends.

Barnes and Noble said in a statement that “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” was the US company’s most pre-ordered book since 2007′s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” – the final book in the original series.
The book will be released for sale at midnight Saturday night.

The last Harry Potter book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, drew predictably excited crowds to bookstores on the night of its 2007 release, selling more than 8 million copies in the U.S. within the first 24 hours of its release.
