Woman arrested after 3-hour chase across 3 counties
The pursuit comes hours after a almost three-hour chase Monday morning that took CHP officers from the San Fernando Valley to a San Diego County neighborhood, according to KNBC.

The chase came to an end about 2:25 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 in the San Onofre area, where the SUV stopped and the 17-year-old Los Angeles area resident got out of the SUV and surrendered to officers with guns drawn.
Officers tried to pull her over but refused to stop and instead sped off on the 101 Freeway. For a while, the suspect drove erratically through surface streets, but traveled about 60 miles per hour or less. She exited the vehicle, wearing a pink shirt and shorts.
The driver, an unidentified woman suspected of being under the influence, was taken into custody after driving across a lawn and crashing into parked cars. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Officer Rezai at the CHP’s West Los Angeles Office at 310-642-3939.
Verdin was believed to have been speeding on the collector road that leads traffic back onto the 405 southbound near Century Boulevard when, about 7:50 a.m., the 2008 Toyota Scion XB he was driving failed to make a curve.
“The disregard for public safety that this person has – the weaving in and out of lanes, the driving on the shoulder – that just demonstrates the level of desperation”, Figueroa said.

A 16-year-old passenger sustained major injuries and was rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead, the release stated.
