Disgraced Wasserman-Schultz Gets New Job with Clinton Campaign

The Democratic National Convention has begun in Philadelphia amid turmoil as DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz was forced to step down from her position and Bernie Sanders supporters protested what they called unfair treatment for their candidate. Wasserman Schultz’s resignation came after a controversial series of private emails were hacked and released that showed Democratic party officials may have favored Clinton in the race to become the party’s nominee. “On behalf of everyone at the DNC, we want to offer a deep and honest apology to Senator Sanders, his supporters, and the entire Democratic Party for the inexcusable remarks made over email”, the DNC said in a statement”.

“I think we would have had Bernie Sanders for President”. According to Todd, Clinton’s decision to hire the former DNC chair was a “very interesting decision” and that it would make some Sanders people think that Clinton owed her something.

Sanders’ delegates chanted the Vermont senator’s name during the start of the convention and booed lustily at early mentions of rival Hillary Clinton.

There was also some more Sanders-style material, such as “Move Left” and “Help End Establishment Politics, Vote No on Hillary”.

Thirteen of the state’s 18 delegates are backing Sanders. Others want to focus on the platform and the future, rather than these leadership issues.

Solomon, whose group communicates with 1,250 Sanders delegates, said supporters were weighing a number of floor protest actions this week.
