HBO discusses the possibility of a ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off
Obviously, since “Game of Thrones” is one of the most popular and award winning shows on television, HBO would want to keep viewers coming back to Westeros for years to come.

In this Friday, June 1, 2016 combo picture made up of three separate images, Game of Thrones stars from left to right, Maisie Williams, Liam Cunningham and Lena Headey take questions during an interview with the Associated Press in Athens. The number of episodes for that last cycle has not been determined, HBO programming chief Casey Bloys said Saturday at the Television Critics Association’s summer conference. “Believe me, as the new [programming executive] coming it, if I could get them to do more, I would take 10 more seasons”.
However, this doesn’t necessarily mean Game of Thrones will be forever gone from our screens after two more seasons, with talk of spin-off shows already exciting fans.
Because away from the recent round of referendums, U.S. election campaigning and politics in general, the HBO show is inviting fans to vote in their own election campaign, to decide the best candidate for the Iron Throne. To this, Bloys said that the number of episodes to air was not yet final.
“It’s not something I’m opposed to, but of course it has to make sense creatively”, he said. He, though, added that there were no concrete plans regarding the same yet.
