Pakistan inks agreements with Belarus in trade, economic, education sectors

Mr. Lukashenko had visited Pakistan in May this year and invited PM Nawaz to visit Belarus.

Addressing a joint press briefing along with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the conclusion of their talks and inking and exchange of 18 agreements, President Lukashenko said his country was ready to jointly fight with Pakistan against extremism, terrorism, illegal trafficking of people, drugs and weapons.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Food Security Sikandar Hayat Bosan, Minister for Defense Production Rana Tanveer and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

President of Belarus, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister received the Prime Minister and his delegation at the airport.

The meeting between the two heads of states took place in extremely warm and friendly atmosphere and both sides expressed satisfaction over the visible growth and development in bilateral ties.

He will also participate in Pakistan-Belarus Business and Investment Forum. He said the focus of the talks was on trade, industry, agriculture, investment, culture and education.

PM Nawaz will be also conferred with an honorary doctorate degree by Belarusian State University.

President Lukashenko noted that the two sides had worked hard to prepare for the visit.
