‘Teen Wolf’ Season 5 Spoilers: Deaton Horrific Discovery About Dread Doctors

This “Teen Wolf” episode is bookended by Deaton’s trip to find out whatever he can about the Dread Doctors, and that leads him to a nuclear pant that isn’t really a nuclear plant. It appears that he and the Dread Doctors are working in conjunction with the other. They casually started making out in the backseat with Theo watching.

The pack feels that this is a violation of privacy, but Scott ain’t got time for that or time for Stiles lately. The poor kids were at the mercy of The Dread Doctors, hooked up to God knows what. The sheriff is trying to do his job, trying to uphold the law. When her parents arrive at the station, they spin a story about the woman breaking into their house and Kira’s father stabbing her in self-defense and she must not have been dead and just decided to go die in the McCalls’ kitchen because… He welcomes Theo with a hug, but he and Malia both don’t look very happy.

Mason, Malia, and Scott head to find Liam and Hayden. As soon as she puts Kira in the auto, she handcuffs and radios that she has the suspect in question. Well, the first person she calls is her dear old Sheriff friend to the scene, where he decides to become a Sheriff again and starts calling in his team.

On tonight’s episode per the MTV synopsis “Scott and Malia set out to rescue their captured friends; and Deaton makes a horrific discovery about the Dread Doctors”. Frustrated and impatient, Scott goes the violent route, and uses his Alpha powers (and claws) to tap into Corey’s memories.

Deaton says, “I don’t know who you are”. He’s right; a lot of things have changed, and as Kira leaves it will make it all that much easier for the rest of the pack to fall apart. He isn’t considering that they have to look out for the body snatcher. Get it together, MTV.

That brings us to season 5, where the villains – the Dread Doctors – are definitely more monster than human; in fact, part of their mythos is that they were once human scientists who were swallowed up by their supernatural experiments and are now just gas mask wearing, life-size crickets clicking away. And Lydia, who’s been tragically underused in these last few episodes, knows where he’s taking them (the nemeton)!

That other chimera who was trapped with Hayden and Liam had wings.

Meanwhile, Kira is walking down the middle of the road. Deaton finds an animal tooth and realizes they need to leave. He had to save Liam and Hayden.

Theo has Liam and Hayden safe in the vehicle. And surprise!

After Corey’s revelation, Theo goes down to the basement he described and find Liam and Hayden, but gets electrified by the fence entrapping them.

Theo wakes up and goes back to the fence.

While Scott’s away brooding at his own hero conundrums, Kira’s got realer problems to face, like murder charges. Theo and Lydia were watching Corey back at the house and pried him for more answers. Lovely. Scott and Malia will try to rescue captured friends.

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s Teen Wolf? “I’m just gonna have to kill her again”, she says. As he explains it, he’s seen three others, failures, dragged out screaming, and he’s even seen two nearly kill one another. She seems to be sleepwalking.

Kira returns home, where she is advised via her sensei mother to read the Dread Doctors’ book backward to remember her lost time. This attempt is successful, as the book gives Kira a vision of the traffic jam back in the first episode, only a little bit different. She already had glowing eyes, fangs, and talons. “I think she’s going to want to keep growing as a kitsune and figuring out her powers”. Are they controlling her, or is she the one controlling them?
